Jim has worked hard and the garden is doing really well. The blueberry bushes and the strawberry plants are well established now so we hope to have lots of fruit this year. We are looking forward to the courgettes (zuchini), potatoes, tomatoes and beans.
These are our blueberries, they are growing well. They are just about colourless now but with some sun they will be a lovely dark blue/black.
We have lots of large strawberries just starting to ripen. The weather last week was cold and wet but today has been lovely, warm and sunny. So we should be eating straberries and icecream before long

Jim has planted a lot of potatoes including early types for August/September and late ones that we will be eating in October or November. We have had plenty of rain so they are well forward.

The painting is going well and the main book shelves are now done. This means that we have now put most of the books back on the shelves and can tidy up a bit. The lower cupboards and shelves can be done little by little.
Mabel was very comfy in her bed so was not going to move when I took the photos.
Book shelves behind our chairs now done but lower cupboards still to do. The white shelves look good and do lighten the room. Most of the books are back on the shelves and they have been sorted into subject groups. We have discarded some books and have some to go to the charity shop next week.
